A winter laddoo a day: the old habit worth keeping

Amma's Kitchen
Magaj laddoos

Every winter, the kitchen fills with the smell of roasting aata and melting ghee. A big steel dabba of laddoos appears, and one with morning tea becomes part of the day.

Why winter?

Ghee, jaggery and dry fruits are warm, filling, and keep well in the cold months. A small laddoo after a light breakfast is an old habit many families still keep.

How we make ours

  • Dry fruits added by hand
